General Public information

We are completely volunteer-run, Dept. of Agriculture licensed animal shelter. We are also a no kill shelter. This means we can not take in anymore animals until the current ones are adopted to forever homes. We realize this leaves some strays or owner relinquished animals not getting the help needed. We are working on coming up with donated land to build a bigger facility to meet more of the need.

We occupy the building where Tri-County Humane Society was located in St. James, MO, and we work with the city of St. James caring for animals that the police pick up if we have space for them, but we are not affiliated with the previous organization that was here, a city run rescue or animal control.
